RUFENER PERFORMANCE MARINE was founded in 2012 by owner/operator Mark Rufener in Dover, Ohio.

The origin of the company dates back many years prior as Mark would rebuild jetskis to enable a source of recreation for his family as well as provide funding for education. He found the work to be very enjoyable.

Being raised by an incredibly wise auto mechanic, Mark was taught the value of doing a job right. When you couple that with his technical background as a Journeyman Tool and Die Maker and Product Development Engineer, you get a good blend of experience and competency.

As the company grows, the business maintains its philosophy from its inception: “Give the customer what they want at a fair price and they’ll come back, usually with a friend.”
